‘YOU GIVE THEM SOMETHING TO EAT.’(Matthew 14:16, CSB)
The Ukrainian refugees have specific needs these days. Some need advice and guidance, while others need accommodation and food. Some decide to stay in our country, while others are just in passing to other places in Europe.
Today we went to Borș 2 checkpoint (at the border with Hungary) and distributed croissants, bagels, water, and hot tea to the women and children waiting at the border to go to other destinations. You could see tiredness and emotional pain on their faces, but they acknowledged our presence and started smiling when they saw us. We offered them small things, but it is the small things that make the difference (Edward A Murphy). And Jesus Christ said: ‘Whoever is faithful in very little is also faithful in much’ (Luke 16:10, CSB).
In times like these, you can also do these small things to those in Ukraine!
