DOES YOUR RELIGION MATTER IN WAR WHEN YOU RUN AWAY FROM BOMBS?
War is the same for everyone, whether you are a Christian, an atheist, or a Muslim. We were happy to host them all.
Among the refugees who came our way were Christians who are now preparing for Easter, a time of spiritual preparation for the great feast of the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ.
We also had the joy of having as guests a family from Kyiv, that we grew really fond of. For them, Ramadan has just begun – the month of fasting, prayer, reflection, and community.
Ramadan is the time when their spiritual hunger is more easily breached by the Gospel if we pray earnestly for their salvation (read more here). Therefore, let us unite in prayer for our Muslim neighbors, for God to reveal Himself to them during Ramadan through dreams and people like us who are sharing the Gospel of Jesus with them.
And as we pray for them, let us also lift up our Ukrainian neighbors, especially our brothers and sisters in Christ who are suffering from the war.
