This time last year we told you about Mrs. Galina from Ukraine, who, being our “guest” together with 34 other people (mostly children adopted by several families), told us about the experiences and miracles she had lived in Bucha, during the Russian attack. When they left us, they remained in our thoughts for a long time as we wondered if we would ever see them again (they were returning to Ukraine in the middle of the war). But God always surprises us.
We were pleasantly surprised recently by the visit of two of the families from that group, along with 17 children (mostly adopted). We were glad to see each other again, to have fellowship together, and pray together. It delighted us to see the joy on their faces (despite having experienced the war) as they praised the Lord through their song. The children were so well behaved and showed so much common sense. We were moved to tears by their reaction when we gave them each a school backpack filled with school supplies. These are parents who truly lived James 1:27: “Pure and undefiled religion before God the Father is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself unstained from the world.” (James 1:27 CSB)
HOW MANY OF US WOULD BE READY TO DO WHAT THESE PARENTS ARE DOING?
